Beauty: BB Creams

Though I could spend hours browsing the shimmering aisles of Sephora, I am not usually one to change up my beauty products…until I found BB Cream.  “BB” stands for Beauty Balm or Blemish Balm.   Primer, skin care, moisturizer, and skin-perfecting light coverage all in one little bottle.  I tested 4 popular brands:

1.  Garnier

Thumbs Up: For starters, the price – it’s from Target so it’s significantly less expensive than the others.  This BB cream felt super lightweight and provides the perfect coverage for daywear.

2.  TooFaced

Thumbs Up:  Subtle shimmer.  I thought that I wouldn’t like the shimmer but it gives your skin a really pretty glow.  Applies nicely and gives wonderful, long-lasting coverage.

3.  Clinique

Thumbs Up:  Great for spot coverage (under your eyes, any blemishes).  I didn’t love it for my entire face – this cream is a little thicker than the others.

4.  Dior

Thumbs Up:  Goes on super smoothly and is very hydrating.  Downside: this BB cream only comes in one color and was a little too “orange” for me.

Overall fave:  TooFaced!  Runner Up (and perfect for summer days at the beach): Garnier.
