This destination wedding  from Katherine Stinnett is the perfect way to start your Cinco de Mayo weekend!  We absolutely love the colors and personal touches of this Costa Rica wedding.

“When Malcolm and I were researching venues, we had very few requirements: Beach Locale, Easy access to/from the airport and a place that neither of us had been to before.  I scoured the internet for inspiration and somehow came across beautiful pictures of beachside weddings which happened to be in CR (and planned by Tropical Occasions).  I loved how simple the ceremonies looked and how much love they were able to capture in each picturWhy a destination wedding? This decision was simple, really. Nothing makes people happier than going on vacation. Our wedding was going to be the first time our families were going to meet each other, and we thought that meeting in a beautiful, tropical location would create a relaxed setting that would alleviate the stress that comes with ‘meeting the in-laws’.We wanted our wedding to be an intimate gathering, where the faces that greeted us as we walked down the aisle were familiar faces we loved — and not long lost family members who knew nothing about us and hadn’t seen us for yearsOur wedding was special because Malcolm and I really planned it together.  Everything, from design, ceremony itinerary, attire, etc was decided by the two of us.  So it was really wonderful to see the fruits of our labor once we arrived in CR.  We kept everything really simple, which afforded us more time to enjoy everything!  We also added personal touches (like our cute wedding cake topper and our custom wedding party shoes) that allowed our personalities to shine through.  There wasn’t a singular aspect of the wedding that made it special – it was everything combined. It was just a week of unadulterated fun in paradise!”
